A Story of Love
The meaning of life is a story of love. First, God loves us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes into him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 God created man in His own image for the purpose that man would be the expression of God. God just loves this man. Ephesians 2 tells us “…with the vast love with which God loves man.” God loves man and has been reaching out to man for thousands of years.
When we receive God’s love then we love Him. He is very lovable and precious. He is a wonderful person who has done so much for us. When you meet Him (which you can) you will love Him. You will love Him with a “head over heels love”, with a “I give my whole life to you” love. It is a personal love that fulfills all your desire to love someone.
Then, to add to this, you love other people, all people. You will also automatically love all fellow believers. And you want to be helpful to others – the result of love. You also love those people who are like the way you were: looking for something and not knowing exactly what it was, just searching. You love them and want to share what you found with them. They are still a seeker, but you are a finder. You have found the meaning of life.
God became a man, but not everyone knows He became a wonderful person. He is God and he is also man. He loves, He hates, He is righteous, holy, faithful, pure, true, kind, compassionate, strong, sure, merciful, empathizing, tender, personal. He is wonderful (Isaiah 9: 6). Your relationship with Him is personal. You will spend time with Him every day and in all circumstances. You will love Him as a person, not as a belief or a religion. You will love Him. He, as a person, keeps you coming back for more. I want to spend my life with Him and beyond life. I love Him. I commune with Him. The more I am with Him the more I love Him. He loves me. He responds to my love with more love. He is invisible yet present. You can’t see Him, but you can touch Him. He is love. The more you love Him, the more you love others.
You love those who believe in Him and those who do not yet believe. He is love. Humans are made with a large capacity for love: to be loved and to love. We need this. The most miserable person is one who doesn’t love. We are made to love and most people seek love. My only aspiration out of high school was to find true love. The Lord did give me a husband and we do have true love, but when I met Jesus I met love Himself. He is Love. Wouldn’t you like to meet Love Himself? You can right now by saying “Lord Jesus, I want to meet you. Come to me Lord Jesus. Be love to me. Cause me to Love you. Thank-you for loving me. Love me Lord Jesus.
Who is Jesus?
You can believe what you read. Luke says: it seemed good to me also, having carefully investigated all things from the first, to write them out for you in an orderly fashion.
